SNEAKER SERIES, AIR JORDAN 3:
One of the most popular models ever, the Air Jordan 3 set a new standard in fashion and technology. It featured the Jumpman logo on the tongue, a gray elephant hide-like print on the upper, and a visible Air pocket in the heel. This sneaker marked many firsts for Jordan and Nike, including the debut of the Jumpman logo and Tinker Hatfield's first design. Additionally, during the ‘87-’88 season, Jordan first played alongside Scottie Pippen and was coached by Phil Jackson (assistant). Jordan famously wore the “White Cement” colorway at the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest in Chicago, securing back-to-back titles with the legendary free-throw line dunk. Finally in 1988, MJ achieved individual greatness by winning NBA MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and All-Star game MVP.
